Douala Day Tour: Bona’Anja Village

On this day tour starting from Douala we visit the village of Bona’Anja which is about twenty kilometers by canoe from Douala. The village of Bona'Anja is a chefferie and the village of the Cameroonian sports minister who is the village chief. We will go to the famous water museum to learn about the traditions and culture of the coastal people and the magnificent chieftaincy (chefferie)  and the sacred baobab.


At noon we will have lunch on the banks of the Wouri, and we can also swim at the museum beach. We’ll also visit a Nigerian fishing village where we can buy fresh fish.


If you are in need of a change of scenery far from the noisy city of Douala, the village of Bona'Anja is for you!

I was very happy to hear from you about this. As youı know my husband Hans-Hubertus Pieper has been in Cameroon since the years of 199---. You have always helped him with the papers and translated for him.
