For those who like the heights, views, and vegetation at 7 km from Yaoundé is located the Mount of Eloudem.

This mountain (1200 m) allows you to see and appreciate some wildlife for a nice day out and several species of insects. 

Mount Eloudem is also characterized by green vegetation and rocky mountains for people who like to climb. Known as the ´´city of seven hills´,´ Yaoundé is a very interesting destination for day trekking tours. This is one of its best.

The mountains are characterized by breathtaking views, allowing visitors to better appreciate several species of colorful butterflies, insects, birds, monkeys, and other wildlife that live in this ecosystem. From the summit, nice views of Yaounde city and surroundings will be enjoyed.

Eloundem village is 7 km away from Yaoundé, in the Mbankomo subdivision on the foot of the Mountain. Once we get to the village, we stop at the Chief's palace for climbing formalities and discussions with the local guide and then start trekking.

There are several caves on the mountain, and we stop at one of those caves for the visit. At the end of the visit, we share a local palm wine drink with locals, before returning to the city of Yaoundé.
